During 15 years experience as a freelance photographer, David has gained a wide knowledge in all the different aspects of photography. He studied Media Arts and Photography at college, where his love for horticulture grew and lead him on to work for six years as the commissioned photographer for The Royal Horticultural Society. From there he was, and still is, on an annual basis, commissioned by Octopus Publishing to photograph the Chelsea Flower Show and the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
Some of David's other clients include:
Amateur Gardening: Horticulture
Banyards Associates: Property/Building
Garden Which: Horticulture
Chapman Associates Architects: Architectural Design
Oakwrights: Oak Frame Housing
Kent County Council: New Building Developments
The Keir Group: Office Refurbishments
WW Martin: Housing Developments
"My approach to commissions is to interpret the project theme, enhancing and producing a portfolio with a diverse range of individual contemporary styles."
With David's love of horticulture, colour and balance, the next step for him was an obvious choice. He now runs David Sarton Landscapes, a garden design company alongside his photography.
